The Personal paddler skills courses are aimed at developing specific skill sets whilst paddling. These short courses are aimed to develop and practice paddling skills in a controlled and safe learning environment. You will learn new techniques on all aspects of paddling aimed to help with your personal development.

These are not courses to become qualified to teach or guide, they are courses designed to bring like minded paddlers together to develop there skills around certain subject areas of interest with a qualified, knowledgeable coach and guide. You might want to learn more on Safety and rescue skills on the ocean, you may want to know and understand more about navigation whilst paddling open water, you may want to learn more about running rivers on your SUP. SUP Paddle Technique Workshop

Join a SUP Paddling technique skills workshop with us and improve your paddling skills and learn new strokes.

SUP Safety and Rescue techniques

Learn the skills and techniques necessary to be able to be safe on your Stand up paddle board. Learn how to self rescue and help or rescue others whilst your paddling.

As with any water sport there are risks associated with Stand up paddle boarding. As a paddle board owner and user you should be acquainted with those Risks and hazards and learn how to mitigate them as much as possible. This course will teach you everything you need to know in order to ensure you have safe paddles and amazing adventures.

Its an amazing confidence boosting and highly educational day out.

SUP Adventure Paddler Course

Are you making the next steps of going for long day paddles on your SUP and want to learn more on how to make the most of these adventures?

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course is for SUPers wishing to expand their paddling experiences for longer day journeys in a variety of water settings. The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to push your boundaries into new areas of confidence and environments.

This course is for adventurous SUPers who are very confident in a variety of conditions.

Candidates should:

  • Be competent and capable of paddling your SUP on Open water

  • Have evidence of at least 2 paddling journeys (each of 3 hours minimum in duration)

SUP Expedition Paddler course

Do you want to use your Paddle board to do some overnight expeditions but your not sure how. Look no further, this course will teach you everything you need to get you out on some amazing paddle board adventures.

WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

This course for experienced SUPers wishing to expand their paddling experiences to multi-day journeys, building on the WSA Adventure SUPer.
The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills to push your boundaries into new areas of exploration.

Throughout the course you will be required to make decisions, work individually and as a team being challenged!

PRE-REQUISITES

This course is for experienced SUPers who are very competent and confident in a full range of adverse conditions.

Candidates should:

  • Be competent and capable of paddling your SUP on moving water up to Grade 1 and Open water

  • Have good knowledge of SUP kit loading and be able to conduct a solo deep water rescue

  • Have evidence of at least 4 paddling journeys (each of 4 hours minimum in duration)

  • Have experience of camping and living outdoors

APPROVED PRIOR LEARNING

Those individuals who have passed the Adventure SUPer will have the required level of skills and knowledge to participate on the Expedition SUPer Course.

Individuals who have experienced paddlesports disciplines may also apply; qualifications such as WSA Awards / or other by application.

SUP Surfer workshop

Are you SUP Paddler who wants to get into the surf, or a SUP Surfer who wants tpo learn more skill and technique and become improve.? Then look no further, this clinic will cover everything from equipment to wave catching, forecasting to trimming.. All of the skills you need to become and be a competent SUP surfer are taught in this clinic.

This full day clinic based in Newquay will utilize the best location / conditions on the day and offer the chance to use a variety of different surf SUP’s be coached throughout. We will use On Wave coaching, Video analysis and other techniques to enable you on your road to success.

SUP White Water River Paddler

Do you want to try your hand at river paddling? or have you dabbled and want to build your confidence and knowledge to safely navigate rivers in the future?

The thrill and exhillirating of being blown and surfing with the wind on a paddle board is amazing. Learn to Downwind on your SUP.

This workshop involves safety, equipment, venues, forecasting and all the basics required to downwind paddling. This is suitable for those wishing to start venturing downwind on recreational boards and above.

SOT Kayak Surf Paddler Clinic

Want to take your SOT Kayak in the Surf but not sure how to do it safely.? This 1 day workshop aims to teach you everything you need to know in order to be safe and capable of riding waves.
