Information – Newquay Water Sports Centre
Newquay Watersports Centre is a base for all things watersports as well as landbased activities too.
Based in Newquay Harbour we are at the doorstep of the Atlantic ocean.
You can hire equipment, take part in a guided session, go on one of our tours or have private tuition on any of our activities.
FAQ’s
What do I need to bring for water sports?
We provide all specialist equipment all you need to bring is a towel, swim costume and an pair of trainers or wetsuit boots to wear in the water.
Is there parking?
Yes there is adequate parking in Newquay harbour but if it’s a busy day there are plenty of car parks and parking around Newquay town centre.
Is there somewhere to get changed?
Yes, we have full changing facilities at our base with lockers, showers and hairdryers.
Are there any facilities when we are in Newquay harbour?
In the harbour there is pay and display car park, public toliets, a café, RNLI Lifeboat Station, Sea food Restaurant, Hotel, Rowing Club with bar and plenty of marine wildlife. Newquay Harbour is a stunningly beautiful working harbour with its very own beach. A great place to hang out and spend the day.
How do I get to the Newquay Water Sports Centre Base?
Our base is in Newquay Harbour in the heart of Newquay. You will find us at the tunnel (Treffry Tunnel) and Treffry Place on the South Quay. Follow signs for town centre, Harbour and then South Quay Hill, we are very easy to find. Local landmarks if you are stuck South Quay Hill harbour entrance is opposite Sainsburys . Our postcode for mapping and sat navs is – TR7 1HT or TR7 1HR.
Can I take part in Water sports if I can’t swim?
Yes, We provide full floatation jackets and extra staff to accompany you to ensure you are safe and comfortable in the water. Many of the activities such as kayaking and rafting you will find that you don’t even end up in the water.
Can I bring my Camera?
Yes, although we will take photo’s through out the activities for you which are available to view and purchase in our centre at the end of your session.
What are the age limits on the activities?
There are no age limits as long as you are fit and able or if your young accompanied by a parent or guardian then you can take part.
Can I watch?
Yes, all activities leave from the harbour and you can watch from the harbour wall. In some cases you can follow along the cliff top and watch from there.
Can I bring my Dog?
You can bring your dog as they are more than welcome in the Harbour, however they cannot take part in our activities due to health and safety.
Do NWSC offer discount and packages?
